This guide will walk you through what it’s like working with us, from estimating your project’s cost, to understanding our process, all the way through ownership of the final work.

TL;DR: App icon projects cost between $500–2000, depending on your brief, and take just a day or so. A project with a hundred glyphs costs $15,000 and take weeks to complete. After you send us your brief and payment, we’ll schedule the work, then do it. You’ll own the work after we deliver it, and we’ll put it up on our portfolio. Reviews and revisions can be included for an additional cost.

Our base project pricing is outlined below. Of course, each project is different, and we’ll provide a quote for your specific project. If you have a budget you need to stay within, just let us know. We’ll scope out what we can do with what you’re able to spend.

Note: Glyph projects have a 10-item minimum order size.

Process

Our process is pretty straightforward. Most projects at Parakeet follow this exact template.

Creative Brief

In your own words, tell us about your ideas and requirements, preferred colors and styles, and even the things you want us to avoid. If you have a list of glyphs that you need made, this is a great time to list them out, but we can also help audit your product and devise a list of glyphs together.

Payment

The full amount we quote for your project is due before we begin. This ensures smooth-sailing from the start. You can pay with a bank transfer or a credit card. If your company needs lead time for payments, let us know, and we’ll send an invoice as soon as possible.

Scheduling

If your project only requires a day or two, we can often fit that in our immediate schedule. For larger work, we’ll scope it out with you to determine how many days we can allocate per week to complete your project by the time you need it.

Reviews & Revisions

Most projects are completed based on the creative brief alone, without reviews or revisions. If you’d like to include these as part of your project for an additional cost, please let us know. Revisions can also be ordered after delivery.

Delivery

We’ll simply send you the work after it’s finished! Since you’ve already paid the full amount, once the final work is delivered to you, you own it. We’re proud of what we make, so we retain the right to include it in our portfolio.
